Local Satire Site Takes Break From Fucking Jokes While its City Burns

MINNEAPOLIS—In the wake of the extrajudicial murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police and the protest and riots that followed this week, Minnesota-focused satire site The Nordly has announced that it will be pumping the brakes on the goofs for a while since Minneapolis is on fire.

While The Nordly traditionally has used satire to comment on the gross injustices happening in our state, the editorial staff has disclosed that they are unfortunately fresh out of jokes on this one.

Readers are encouraged to take action against this horrifying police misconduct (i.e. murder) by donating, protesting, showing solidarity via social media, and having the difficult conversations about race that are needed to address this grave problem. If you’re really hankering for a laugh right now, the editors suggest you watch a cat video or read the fucking Family Circus.
