Eden Prairie Brother Discovers Thai Restaurant That Actually Opened 15 Years Ago

EDEN PRAIRIE — As more and more Minnesotans are starting to dine out again, many are trying newer restaurants that they didn’t get a chance to eat at prior to the beginning of the pandemic. For Eden Prairie resident Brian Hoppert, however, he claims he recently “discovered” the restaurant, Thai on the Prairie, which actually opened 15 years ago.

“I just stumbled upon this hidden gem called Thai on the Prairie, tucked away right here in EP. MIND. BLOWN,” Hoppert wrote in a Facebook post, tagging the restaurant whose page currently has 12,000 likes. “You might have to do a little bit of searching for this spot but let’s just say it’s well worth the journey for your taste buds.” Hoppert explained about the restaurant, which currently has a 4.7 Google rating and is located in the Eden Prairie Center mall.

Some close to Hoppert, like his sister Alyssa, are somewhat surprised by this discovery. “I’m glad he’s excited about going to restaurants he hasn’t been to before but Thai on the Prairie is next to a Subway that I know he’s been to many times, they even catered his son Jaxson’s gender reveal party” Hoppert told us.

When reached for comment on Hoppert’s discovery of their restaurant, Thai on the Prairie General Manager Daniel Suwan said, “I’m glad that Brian had a good experience at our restaurant but we’d appreciate if he’d return the two bottles of sriracha that he was ‘just looking at’ before he left.”
