Paul Bunyan, Babe the Big Blue Ox Break Up to Pursue Solo Careers

After collaborating for nearly a century, famous plaid-sporting lumberjack Paul Bunyan and collaborator Babe the Big Blue Ox have announced that they will be parting ways. Both literal giants in their respective fields, the break up of this long running duo is likely to disappoint their many fans across the state. But both agree that their run had come to an end.
”I really cherish all Paul and I did together” said the massive blue bovine, “but after a while, you start to get to a point where you look for new directions, new creative outlets. Maybe I’ll try my hand at dramatic acting.”
“We had a great run, but it was just time” said the mythical bearded woodcutter. ‘I’ll never forget all the time we had together. Babe and I literally stood side by side when times got cold and when times got hot. I will look back on those moments with great fondness.”
According to industry insiders, Babe the Big Blue Ox has been in talks with the Jolly Green Giant on a possible collab. When asked about the rumors, Mr. Blue Ox responded; “At this point I can’t really say what my next steps are going to be, but I definitely wouldn’t rule out working with another statue of color.”
For his part, Bunyan says that he plans to spend more time chopping wood, creating mountains with his bare hands and lakes out of his footsteps. “I have been longing for a return to my roots,” he explained.
Friends of Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox have reported that while the split was a mutual decision, tensions between the two arose after Bunyan started dating his new girlfriend, Yoko Ono.
A source close to the couple says the two will be splitting their possessions evenly, including custody of their Yorkshire Terrier, Flapjack.
