Citing recent findings that showed startling high rates of mortality linked with police, the Center for Disease Control has ordered a nationwide halt to its use.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to pause use of police, and police derived programs, for the foreseeable future” announced CDC Director Rochelle Walensky.

“We know that this action will potentially increase the public’s hesitancy to use police,” continued Walensky. “But we cannot ethically continue to administer police when the risk for complication is so high”.

Scientists have released a comprehensive list of factors that put residents at higher risk for complications with police. They include:

1) Being Black
2) Not being white

The CDC went on to say that while there is no currently FDA approved replacement for police, “literally anything else” would be better than what we have currently.
