After losing his congressional seat in the 2018 midterm elections bid to Dean Phillips, Minnesota’s 3rd Congressional district hasn’t seen much of Erik Paulsen. Well, consider them lucky, because one family in Eden Prairie says he has been haunting their home.

“At first it was scary because we actually thought he was a ghost” said homeowner Kelly “but then it became clear that he was still in fact alive and just going around say “BOOOOOOOO” like a cartoon and rattling plates while we’re trying to eat breakfast.”

When asked why she thought her house was haunted in particular she said simply “He’s my husband. I’m Kelly Paulsen.” Apparently he came home after losing the election and being devoid of any power, political sway, or respect, started pretending he was dead.

“I probably shouldn’t have told him I voted for Dean…the kids don’t seem to mind though. They think it’s funny that their Dad’s dead. So there is some good to this situation.”
